"Her Night Garden"

8"x 6" oil on canvas, SOLD

I would be willing to bet that from the time I started this blog until now, I've spent more time sitting at my computer wondering what the heck to write about these paintings than I did painting them. I do pictures--not words. The paintings don't require much thinking. The writing hurts my brain. And I'm not even sure anyone actually reads these tall tales...so here's some words that go with this painting. I just can't seem to arrange them into sentences: color of moonlight, garden at night, structure of faces, thick paint, abstract heads, fun, love it, can't wait to do another...there. You get it, right?

Hi, I just wanted to say how much I love your quirky mask-like portraits - the heat of the orange against the cool of the greens are lovely in this one. I totally understand the not knowing what to write thing! (probably why I don't) Your pictures draw up such a nice narrative all by themselves, words are not necessary. - not that you have to stop writing; okay, I'm done babbling! :)

Nicole, It's great when another artist "gets it". Thanks. And, by the way, I just love your work!
