Signs Of Life

6x8" oil on canvas

Well, I did the unthinkable today. I went to the mall. It wasn't as bad as I was expecting. Aside from a couple of cranky kids everyone seemed mostly sane. I think all the stores have some secret pact amongst themselves to play the cheesiest, most mind-numbing Christmas music they can find. There must be something to it; people were standing in Disneyland-ish lines to hand over their money. Even in this economy there are signs of life at the mall!

The Christmas music at the shops is mind-numbing. And they have to play up-tempo versions of everything or drag it out and murder it. And it seems very loud. I'm afraid it drives me back home very quickly, only to have Jingle Bells repeating through my brain all day. Not good.
Hope you have a lovely Christmas and thanks for sharing your wonderful art throughout the year.
