Gadabout

11x14" oil on canvas, SOLD

Today is the first day I've actually exhaled in four days. You see, my son, Zac, left last week for a semester abroad. In Italy. His mother has an overactive imagination (no surprise there, right?) and a penchant for worriment. I can work myself into a dither. Especially when the kid doesn't call or email for four days. I pictured the worst: hospitals, ditches, Amsterdam...you name it. So I breathed a big sigh of relief when the email arrived this morning with news of his travels and plates of homemade pasta and getting lost in Orvieto, his new home. Buon viaggio, Giacomo!

ooh - I'm so excited for you guys!!! My daughters(twins) did that 2 years ago & it's the best thing ever! I could go on & on about it...they invited me over for spring break & they showed my all around London....then we got a cheap flight on Ryanair & I showed them around Rome (they're minoring in Italian)....They came home these really confident young ADULTS! Best wishes, hope you BOTH enjoy the experience!!
