I’ve mentioned before that writing these entries sometimes takes almost as much time as the painting. Well… not quite, but you get my gist. But the naming takes on a life of it’s own. I take it very seriously-- the name game. I mean after you give birth to these quirky little people you can’t just send them out into the world with a humdrum name. So sometimes I labor over these names and sometimes the right one just falls out of the heavens while I’m painting. And often enough, my daughter will walk into the room in mid-painting and, with the greatest of ease, THE name will just roll off her tongue. Like this one. Thanks, Cam!
