Hook, Line And Sinker

Ignored warning signs. Took scenic route.

12x30" oil on canvas

Here's the third painting of the new series, "Long Story Short". All sixteen paintings are autobiographical; each a chapter from my life--reduced to one image and six words. The inspiration for this exhibit started with a book called "Six-Word Memoirs by Writers Famous and Obscure". You can read more about my process in creating this collection of paintings in my artist statement.

If you happen to be hanging around San Diego tomorrow I hope you'll drop by the Opening Reception at the San Diego Art Institute, 6-8pm. You can see all 16 paintings and some wonderful art by local artists in the juried Regional Show.

Please visit my website to preview the "Long Story Short" exhibit. Enjoy!

A fun, fabulous, heartwarming, whimsical painting.
I just love the creations you come up with. I've become a big fan. Your use of color has inspired me to be more adventurous with my own paintings. Thank you!
