Major Tom

8x6" oil on canvas, SOLD

Day two of youngest child away at college:

Ground Control to Major Tom
Commencing countdown, engines on
Check ignition and may the brain cells

Responsible for good judgment be with you.

Translation: get to bed at a reasonable hour, go to class (every day), study time before social time, eat lots of vegetables, ride your bike, floss,  go to your professor's office hours and call home....as often as is reasonable for a college freshman. But keep in mind that the parental units miss your shiny bright light.

Cheers, Mom! My youngest goes next year (God willing and the creek don't flood.) Hang in there. Doesn't matter that you've done it before, does it?

I love looking at my painting and seeing your new paintings float through the blogosphere.

We've been there. Rest assured that they DO do everything you've taught them, never get in trouble, and weigh every decision with "what would Mom want me to do?".
Oh wait, that was on another planet....

Too funny, Barbara! That will never happen (at least in my lifetime!)
