Redman

12x6" acrylic and mixed media on paper, SOLD

I ran into a friend today at my local art supply store. We were both doing the same thing--trying to light a fire. Well, not literally, of course. But we were both wandering through the aisles looking for that new medium or paint color or fancy pencil that will be just the thing to push us on to the next level in our work. R & D--that's what artists do in order to stay fresh. That's what I have done with this piece--a little research and a little development with collage, gel medium, acrylic paint and some way cool water soluble wax pastels. Too much fun to be called work!

Love it! (and BMoon describes that well!) - this must be the summer of exploration...been doing a little R&D myself. (maybe eventually some of it will get posted!)

You're right. It is so important to get an injection of fun and shake the creative process up a bit and help you get to a new place. I love "Redman!"
