Urbanites And Native-ites

12x12" | oil on canvas | SOLD

Honestly, the naming of the paintings is sometimes the hardest part. I envy those artists that use names like "Landscape 1" or "Red-orange #32". Sheesh! What does that even mean? My paintings are narrative by nature and demand that at least a small part of the story be revealed in the title. And you, the observer, the appreciator, the art lover must complete the story with your own interpretation. Then you and I have danced the dance.

On another note, so proud to announce that "Dreamer. (Not The Only One)" was juried into the Southern California Regional Awards Exhibition at SDAI Museum Of The Living Artist. I'm proud to be in the company of so many fine artists here in California. The show's opening reception will be this Saturday, March 31, 6-8pm. If you can't make it Saturday, no worries, the show will be up through May 13. Not to be missed!

I can't decide which I love more, your paintings or the *names* of your paintings...

And I don't know which is more fun---doing the painting or naming the painting! Thanks for stopping by!
