More good news today (I'm on a roll!) This painting was accepted into the juried Regional Show at the San Diego Art Institute. And another painting, Home Fires Burning, one of my little Daily Paintings was juried into the 1 Foot Show at the same place. 2008 is lookin' good to me!

Guys In Ties #6, Royal Wisenheimer

8x6" oil on canvas, SOLD
This is my first post of the new year! I've been so busy with family and holiday celebrations that it's has been nearly impossible to paint. But I think I will be back on track this week with 3-4 new paintings so please check in again. Looking back on 2007 I posted nearly 150 new paintings! And those are just my Daily Paintings. I'm not counting my larger pieces and my commissions...whew! And let's not forget the biggest challenge of being a member of the Daily Painters movement was learning how to wrangle the technology! Not really my cup of tea so I'm pretty proud of myself for figuring out the blogging business and the ins and outs of eBay. My next project is my website...coming soon.

The Right Wing

8x6" oil on canvas, SOLD

This painting is from my "Guys In Ties" series. This is the first small format I have done in the series and the first bow-tie painting. I love bow-ties. They are so much sweeter than the other ones...do they have a name? Anyway, the political talking heads should take note: you could appear so much more trustworthy and likable in a bow-tie. I like to imagine G-dub in a pink bow-tie...such a prince!
