6x8" oil on canvas, SOLD
Well, August here in San Diego means the beaches are jammed with sunburned visitors from all over the country. There are a few beaches that only the locals know about and they work hard to keep it that way. Folks here are very protective of their beaches. Litter on these beaches and you might get a swift kick in the Speedos. It's a good thing though, better to go swimmin' with the fishies than somebody's empty Fritos bag.

This is the sixth in the Beach Baby series. I love painting these funny little urchins in the water and on the beach. If you want to have some fun with this one, hum the theme song to "Jaws" while you think about how lovely it would look hanging in your family room! And then visit MY EBAY STORE where it is up for auction. A multi-sensory experience.

Another of those pesky mermaids...just wish they'd show their tails. You'll have to trust me--once again.
5"x 5", oil on canvas, SOLD
This is another painting in the Beach Baby series. It's always challenging to paint water and especially water with people and fish submerged in it--or in this case, half submerged. I had fun with the reflections on the face and painting the three little fish (the other two are swimming on the side of the canvas). Since you can't see her tail, you'll just have to trust me that she really is a mermaid!
