Orange Gina

6x6" oil on canvas, SOLD

I am painting away for this year's ArtWalk here in San Diego. It's coming right up on April 30 and May 1. It's always great fun and exhausting (in a good way!). I will have more than 25 new small format paintings. So put it on your calendar and for you out-of-towners it's a good excuse to plan a little trip to "America's finest city". And if you need a reason or two to buy some original art, here's 12. Right off the ArtWalk website:

"It's a healthy addiction • Your choice reflects your own originality • Living with a work of art never gets old, only better • Consider it haute couture for your walls • You take home part of an artist's creative story • Embrace love at first sight • It's unique - no one else will have one • Add to or begin a collection • Your furniture will thank you for it • It's a treasure now and a treasured heirloom later • Liven up your sculpture niche • Support the economy and nourish the soul"

My favorite excuse is the "healthy addiction" one. What's yours?

"Stanley"

8"x 6" original oil on canvas, SOLD

I once had a painting instructor by the name of Stanley Goldstein. In addition to being a great artist and teacher, he attempted to prove to me and the entire class that everything...everything is some version of blue or orange. And so, this painting reminded me of Stanley and that day in the mountains when the whole world was either blue or orange. Period.
