I have been furiously working on new paintings for my upcoming show, Fairy Tales v2 at Distinction Gallery so I haven't had time to do many of my small Daily Paintings lately. So this little piece is one of the few I've been able to fit in. I really like how this turned out...a little different technique for me. The canvas was highly textured with modeling paste that I drew the figure into while it was wet. I really like the "roughness" and the black lines showing through the paint. I am planning on having more of these Daily Paintings available in time for gift-giving...'tis the season (almost). Yikes!
