Middle Child

12x30" oil on canvas, SOLD

I have to admit this is one of my all time favorite paintings. Yes, I like the way it turned out but mostly I love how it all came together. It was one of those pieces that paints itself and is pure joy to create. Without sounding too terribly "woo-woo" about it I can just say that my intent was to loosen up and to paint without "a road map". No sketch, no pre-determined color scheme...and on top of an old failed painting. Could have been a disaster...but, instead it might just end up being a new direction for my work.

Did a bit of housekeeping this weekend and cleaned up my blog. If you visit you might think you've hit the wrong button somewhere along the way...it looks pretty different. Same art, same painter. Just an effort to simplify and organize my little piece of cyberspace real estate. Let me know what you think.

I love this painting. I've had many a woo woo painting so I know where you're coming from. Love your story telling both on the canvas and the page!
