This is a bit of a departure for me. I've been exploring ways of giving more emphasis to the backgrounds where the figures are placed. I think it adds to the story. I painted this during the first days of the unfolding nightmare in Japan. Sometimes it's easier to put feelings into paint than into words. This is one of those instances.
