Heartquakes And Jive

16x20" oil on canvas, email me for purchase information

Just recently finished this piece to add to my series of "Lovers". I usually do the lovey-dovey stuff around Valentine's Day but these two sweethearts jump out at me every time I open my sketchbook. A bit pushy, these two! I really like the colors and the line work done with big fat oil bars--makes me feel like a little kid with those chunky crayons. Here's a detail shot so you can see the line work.

Hanky Panky

12x16" oil on canvas

Check out my ImageKind gallery for this painting and several others that are now available as prints. You can choose from different sizes, paper or canvas and framed or unframed.
And I promise that very soon I will be posting new work. I have five brand new large paintings (36x24") based on Fairy Tales; Rapunzel, Little Miss Muffett, Snow White, Jack and the Beanstalk and Four And Twenty Blackbirds and then eight small sized individual portraits of Snow White's uh...Little People (politically correct, of course). And, yes, there's eight...there had to be a woman keeping all those little guys in line! And, in my opinion, Snow just wasn't all that dependable. These are all for my upcoming solo show in October. Can't wait to post them!

Stop by my website sometime to see my large format paintings and to get the latest on upcoming exhibits.

Love In The Air

6x8" oil on canvas, SOLD

This painting is actually a study done from a larger piece I'm working on of Adam and Eve and that hissy little snake in the Garden of Eden. Kind of backwards. Usually you do small studies for a large piece to work out the kinks before you commit to a huge canvas. But I love the way Adam and Eve are turning out and wanted to play around more with the whole eye contact, love at first sight idea. Of course, on the larger canvas there's room for a lot more detail so it is much more conceptual. But this little piece gave me an excuse to visit the Garden of Eden again, minus the slimey reptiles. I'll post Adam and Eve as soon as they are photographed.

Lovers And Other Strangers

10x8" oil on canvas, SOLD

OK, so the "lovers" are obvious but the "strangers"? They are there too...bottom left corner. Can you guess what the little strangers represent? Aw, c'mon...any parents out there?
