Calvin And Marlene Wet Their Whistle

24x18" oil on canvas, available on my website

This piece was painted for the W Hotel in downtown San Diego. It will hang in The Magnet Bar until after ArtWalk (end of April). The Hotel sponsored an event called “Surf, Sand And Chic” and several painters were invited to paint “live” while balancing their signature drink, the Blueberry-tini (tasty and dangerous) and maneuvering wet paint in a crowded bar. Something they forgot to cover in art school. Nonetheless, it was great fun with two of my favorite local artist friends, Julia C R Gray and Stephanie Clair. If you find yourself in downtown San Diego, stop in to check out Calvin and Marlene and do indulge in one of those wicked blueberry-tinis!

This is great fun! I love the distilleries coming out of their heads and it would seem they are awash in a sea of apple-tinis with blueberry skies...sounds good.

Some kind of "tinis" that's for sure! Thanks, Deb!
