Wow! Talk about a whirlwind weekend! ArtWalk 2010 here in San Diego has come and gone and I'm guessing that it will take me at least three weeks to recover---Sheesh!
Over 100,000 visitors this year and by my calculations, I'm pretty sure I talked to oh, I dunno, a third of them? For conversation's sake, let's call it 30,000. Thirty thousand! And I'm guessing that about a quarter of those people asked me questions--meaningful, perceptive and mentally balanced questions. And as I'm answering those 7500+ questions I'm noticing a pattern. I'm getting the same questions over and over--maybe a little rewording here and there to keep me on my toes but basically the same query. They all want to know what I'm thinking. What I'm thinking? Really? Gosh. I never thought it was all that interesting. Most of the time I'm wondering why you're not thinking what I'm thinking. And how we might change that. But that's another story... So for now I'm going to put together a little FAQ page on my blog. I'll start with the questions I got at ArtWalk this past weekend but send me any burning questions you might have--related to my art, the process, the marketing of said art, etc. In the meantime, I'll try to figure out what in the world I'm thinking!

I want to know about your colour choices and palette! So vibrant and clashy yet simultaneously so subtle and harmonious. How do you achieve this? Limited complementary palette?
The combination of quirky characters and beautiful colour hooks me so much more deeply than just one or the other, and your works always have both.
Just wanted to say that I love your paintings, I thnik all without any exception. I love all of them and I like most of them. Have a good day. It is full-moon today. Awesome!
OK, Tor, I will be starting the FAQ page this week and will include your questions there. Thanks for asking and I hope you'll drop by again!
