I keep a notebook filled with words and phrases that I can refer to when I’m naming paintings. I have a collection of words that I just can’t wait to use; it might take a long time to find the right painting for “Funambulist”. Anyway, I also collect weird phrases that I overhear because you just never know…So when I was naming this little gem I came across this phrase that I had written down twice in my notebook, “A Knack For Stew”. Hmm. I gave a great deal of thought to possibly using this as the title of this painting. But sometimes, I guess it’s better to not leave ‘em guessing.
